Looks like Chicago will have an Orange C8 Convertible. Surprised to see only one on display. Very dissapointing, as I have yet to see one yet and was hoping they might actually have a few to see (coupe and Vert) plus maybe one or two to sit in. Wishful thinking. At the 16min 30sec mark in this video by Redline Reviews, you get a brief look at it:
Ohhhh ... fenced off? Not allowed to touch, sit in it, ... ?
Thanks for the pictures, though!
I'm pleased that the Rapid Blue is there. I have an Arctic White 2LT Z51 with a TPW of 3/16 but was really considering the rapid blue.
I've sat in several of the cars at Carlyle and here is a pic of the Yellow 3LT that I was able to get into at the Houston Auto show. Notice the full suede interior.
I was there yesterday for meetings and took a look in the Chevy booth. One rapid blue coupe with yellow calipers and GT3 seats. The other is a black over orange convertible with light grey interior. Both on turn tables. They won’t be letting anyone sit in them during public days. Given the seat damage on the touring dealership cars, I can understand not wanting thousands of people getting in and out. Plus public days are notorious for theft and damage.

I agree. I remember going in 2014 w/ my dad to see the Stingray. There was a MASSIVE line to sit in it. I also remember an 8 y/o Hispanic youth punching the navigation screen damaging it and his parents thinking it was funny.
I am glad to see the cars locked up and unable to be touched and damaged. In fact, they should go further and have the cars encased in glass and roped off at least 100 feet. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
If you want to sit in it and experience it, make an appt. with your Chevy dealer.
