Default Les Stanford orders thread

I want to start a thread for people that have C8 orders, or are on the waiting list, at Les Stanford Chevrolet in Dearborn, Michigan. Hopefully, we can share the status of our orders and our progress as we move thru the system.

I submitted my order with a $1000 deposit on July 25, 2019, a week after the reveal. I was #296 on their list. At that time, they said they were getting 649 C8s. Currently am now at 1100 waiting for allocation and I now have only #45 people in front of me. I was told last week that I will get an allocation and move up to 2000 by the end of this month.

My build is a Torch Red Coupe, Z51, 2LT, 2 tone seats that will MSRP at $82,000.

When did you put your money and name on Stanford's list? What was you placement at that time? Where are you now?

Mariano

I submitted my 1K deposit to Les Stanford on 8/27/19. I was told I was #602 on the list. Nothing has happened to my order. When I talk to my salesman and ask when I may submit my order it keeps being pushed back. Now it’s March that the order may be submitted....or not. He says I’ll get a C8 this year but I’m doubting it now. Wish I would have know I would have gotten a C7 when they were discounted so heavily in December and the supply was good. I would’ve waited to get a 2021. Oh well, we are all frustrated With the process. This will be my first Corvette.

Do you know what number you are now after the Feb allocations have been assigned? They’ve been getting fifty something per cycle. So even if they doubled in March and April I’d think you’d want to be in the 200s now to have a shot at a 2020.

I am on their list too. Everything will go well. Les Stanford is a fine dealership to work with.

Not sure where I’m at right now. I call or text on it every couple weeks to check on my status. I’m due to do call this week.

I’m in the low 200s and they received an allocation late last week. I finalized my order on Friday.

I’ve purchased several Corvettes from them, with no problems. Like all Dealers they are at the mercy of GM’s production schedule, so given the long strike, no one should be surprised that things have progressed slowly.

I have heard nothing but good things about Stanford. Congrats, looks like you'll gt one for sure this year. I was late to the party.

I submitted my deposit on 8/19/19 there to their corvette specialist James Fillmore, and I also haven't heard anything. I'm hoping I hear something soon.

I was hoping to exchange the following on our orders:
  • When did you put your money down and add your name to Stanford's list?
  • What was your placement on their list at that time?
  • Where are you now?
By the way, my build is for a coupe and my salesman is James Fillmore.

Congrats. Is that your original placement in line or a recent update of your position? When did you put your deposit down?

My first Corvette and the waiting has been a lesson in patience. Deposit was placed 8/23/19. 591 on their list. I received an email response from James Filmore at Les Stanford today...“there’s probably at least 100 people in front of you that have either cancelled or switched lists.

GM has already pulled our initial 3 month allocation of 149 cars.

GM has just begun production on the coupes, convertible’s won’t begin until April. GM has also not begun shipping any 2020’s to dealer’s yet. We’ll get a much better idea on timeframe once GM really starts to ramp up production and begin actually shipping.

My best guess is we’ll be ready to submit your order within the next month or two.”

Wow that would require them to go from 50 or so allocations a month sept/dec/Jan/feb to like 150 a month starting in March

I didn’t pay much attention to numbers originally, so I don’t know what my number was. Put my deposit down right after the reveal.

Well I put my deposit down last week 2/10/20 but specifically for a 2021. Was told my number on the list was between 75 - 100. Dealing with Kevin Will.

Since it looks like they are a volume dealer, do they have one display?

No dealer has a car of their own for display yet. They did pay to have the display tour come to the dealership in August of last year for two days. You can check the sticky thread to see if there’s any other dealer display events planned this year.
