"TheThings" is an absolute joke. I've seen several of their other articles, and honestly have no words to put together how awful their website is. There's garbage. And then there's their website, many many levels below.
As an example, one of their articles was about cars they would rather have instead of a C8. There was a Chiron, a Pagani, and numerous other absolutely ridiculous cars in there...
I have seen their articles from this site that make me wonder if it’s computer generated or just written for clickbait. In another article, they claim the 500 mile range of the C8 will let you drive all the way across the country.
There are other articles I’ve noticed that are written with no actual knowledge of the topic they are writing about. It somehow got into my Apple News feed and I just recently removed it. I think it’s a good example of a fake news site.
The only thing I can agree with is the wheels are pushed in a bit in. I was seriously considering putting wheel spacers if I were to keep the factory wheels.

I agree. * Electrical? Most electronics these days are 'smart modules' requiring less wiring. *Shifters? Is what is not good for one person not good for all? *Lighter weight? Sure but at what cost? *Naturally asperated? What would be left for the Z06 let alone the fleet mileage figures to avoid a guzzler tax. *Competition? What competition in this price range. *Stock seats for daily driving? Why not just say it; seats for fat people. *No manual trans? Having driven a dual clutch computer shifted transmission, the sad truth is that to achieve these performance figures, I doubt a human could shift faster even with paddles in manual mode. why did F1 go that way? *No round steering wheel? No 'hand over hand' steering in performance driving? If you're doing that you're already out of control. For parking, don't lots of cars now have a push button to do that? My last race car didn't have a round wheel. Just my vent.
That article is purely clickbait. There's nothing in it that matters. They could just have easily have said, what if the Corvette were $350,000 instead of $60,000? How much better could GM have built it? Well, you need only look at the Ford GT. Oh, none of us can buy a Ford GT, or the few that can probably also have private planes and yachts. They were fishing for something to write and honestly it made me want to puke. Working on a budget means being 3600#'s instead of 2600#s. Oh, and most outrageous was the comment that the engine should have been forced induction or more exotic (kinda like the twin cam flat crank twin turbo mill which they don't bother to mention.
I actually blocked the company behind this drivel to hopefully avoid the more crap from them in my vision,
