Default Changing TPWs - Order Priority # ?

Like many of you, I have been checking the forums constantly for any explanation on why some orders are moving up while others are moving back. I was given an allocation in early January and originally was given 5/4 as a TPW - which moved to 4/27 the following week. I was pretty disappointed as this was the latest TPW I've seen to date - my order is nothing out of the ordinary or under constraint, its a Sebring 2LT non Z51 with FRHC and GT2 seats. I've seen some orders pulled all the way from late April to as soon as February, and some comments that it may have to do with the "Priority" # listed on the order. I looked back at my order today and noticed it is listed as "SRE - Retail Sold" "Priority:2". I was 7th at my dealer out of 11 allocations, is this to be expected? What is the difference between priority 1 and priority 2 and have any priority 2 builds been given TPWs since they took all of the pre -3300 TPWs away? Any guidance or information would be sincerely appreciated. Thanks

The priority number on an order only relates to the priority within that dealership for that order cycle. Just about every dealer that has an allocation will have a priority #1 order, a priority #2 and so on up to how ever many allocations they have that cycle (60 or more for the really big dealers) - so it obviously means nothing on a nationwide basis. The important part is that your order is SRE. That's good, as Chevy is giving priority to SRE orders over dealer stock orders.

If you were given a TPW that means your order had already been placed and accepted by Chevrolet, and priority doesn't matter anymore. You need to ask your dealer for a status update on your order number, or call the Corvette Concierge with your order number to see what your current status is. If you are at status 2000-3799 you have nothing to worry about and will be receiving a Corvette this year. The delay would be if you are not at status 3000 and above, and this would be because your dealer is only getting 11 allocations which would probably mean they are going to get 2 orders accepted per month in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th quarter. However It sounds like you jumped up a few spots if you are already in 2000+ status because if you were #7 on the list you would still be in 1100 status, and it makes sense since you stated you were priority 2.

Cliff Notes: Contact your dealer or Corvette Concierge and get the current status code on your order.

Chevrolet gave guaranteed allocation to dealers meaning they will receive those allocations unless they turn them down whether they are order as Stock or Sold. If Chevrolet does officially announce a 2020 production cut then at that time dealers with only Sold Retail orders may get priority over dealers with only Stock Orders.

TPWs for SRE orders have been getting pulled ahead of TPWs for stock orders.

We have 78 Sold Orders in our system out of 78 allocations. We were guaranteed 20 allocations in the 1st Quarter, 2 have been built and are "in transit" 3800-4999 status, 13 "in system" 2500-3799 status, 5 "placed" 2000 status, and 58 in "preliminary" 1100 status. Out of all those Sold Orders (besides the 2 that have been built) only 5 have TPWs and 2 have partial VINs. There's a dealer 10 miles from us with 9 Retail Orders in 3000 status. I don't see how Sold Orders are getting priority over Retail Orders.

My priority says 99 on my 1100 order status for a dealer getting about 35 allocations for the year before the strike. They said I was #22 on the list. Am I screwed?

No as long as they keep their word. They will change your priority once the allocation becomes available for Chevrolet to accept it.

So what do you think a priority 0 might mean?

Please clarify. Do you mean there is NO priority number on your order thus assuming it is a “priority 0” ? I’ve had updates where the priority # was not indicated. And I first noticed it missing once I got to 3000 with a TWP of 2/17 ( which was before TPWs subsequently disappeared recently). Previously my # was Priority #1 but that was at 1100.

The order specifically says “Priority 0”.

Thanks, I am 26 on your list, so it looks like I will make March allocation.

Yes sir! I see you on our list at that slot. Your order should be accepted next month. Congrats.

Really appreciate the info. I was under the impression that "Priority #" was more like an overall priority level. Sounds like I will just have to sit back and wait. Hoping my TPW gets pulled up a bit.
