Default High wing ordering

I am placing my order and wanted to learn if when ordering the High Wing with the Z51 package AND the Museum Delivery, would it be installed at the factory and on the car at delivery OR does it come to the dealership and is installed as a dealer option later? It's on the order sheet, but does say its a Genuine Corvette Accessory. Saw some mention of this before but it was in reference to non-Z51 orders. I am ordering the Z51.

I'm guessing its a dealer installed accessory. If that's accurate, then would the car be delivered at the factory with the Z51 spoiler or NONE at all? Questions, Questions.

Ordering a Vette with all these options is PAINFUL.......

This has been discussed repeatedly. Did you search?

The car will show up to the museum with the Z51 spoiler. The Museum folks will install the high wing at the museum. You'll need to get the Z51 wing home on your own though. ( stick it in the car if it fits or have it shipped home)

It's a Dealer Installed Option. I assume it will be like the Stage 2 Aero Option I got for my 2017 Grand Sport. It was sent to my Courtesy Delivery Dealer a week or so BEFORE my car arrived. It went to the parts department with my VIN number. Like the High Wing, doubt it was ever in Bowling Green! Why should they waste time, receiving, storing for retrieval etc when a computer message to the vendor that says ship to XYZ is far cheaper for GM!

Initially Museum Delivery could NOT install the High Wing! An announcement thanking the "factory folks" for "teaching" Museum Delivery folks "how to install" was mentioned on the Forum. As the Service Manger at my Courtesy Delivery Dealer told me about the Stage 2 Aero option install, they get paid separately from GM for that install. Much like GM pays them for the PDI.

Actually Kerbeck made ordering options very easy with their own form. Only thing painful is paying for them!

As CitznFish said you'll have to plan on dealing with the Z51 wing that will be removed. Probably will it fit in the C8 as it's wider than the rear trunk space! Unless you have a desire to screw around trying to sell and ship that long part, you can do what I plan and leave it as a tip! I'm sure one of the Museum Folks will be happy to take it home and find a way to sell it!
