I was told by the sales manager on Feb 7th that the 2021 would be another lottery. He also told me they were only getting 6 cars per month. Where did you hear 10 cars per month? I was # 18 on Jan 21st.
I meant they had allocations for 1-10. If the rate of 6 allocations per month is true they aren’t going to get very far down the list of 58

Good news. Now I'm told that there are only 4 in front of me so I should get my order picked up by GM in March. Bad news they won't let me make a small (seat belt color) change to my order.

Thats great news! However that means they really aren’t getting many allocations each month. I don’t think they will be able to get the 58 if they are only picking up yours in March

That is not what about every dealer in the US does. Should should be able to make any change you want before you order in pulled off the order bank. We call all customers the week their number comes up and tell them last chance to make changes. Give us a call or come in to the dealer ship to make sure your order is exactly the way you want it. That is a strange dealer that will not let you make a little change like seat belt color.

It looks like 6 per month now but it may go up as production ramps up.

Your order hasn't gone in and yet Connell won't allow you to change your seat belt color?
The hell? Why is this the worst dealership ever? Always terrible things over and over.

Won't let you? If you aren't at 3000 then they can definitely make changes. Someone is being lazy.

You guys should order from a serious dealership with allocations of over 100 cars per month instead of wasting your time.
Take Courtesy delivery and call it a day. That's what I'm doing. My car has a production date of 3/26/2020.

Probably not bad advice but like Corvette310 said it's about 6 months too late. Hindsight 20/20. As it stands My order should be accepted by GM in March. I guesstimate delivery in June-July. Does that sound reasonable?

Not true. Only too late if you order from a low status dealership with a small allocation (locally). Email the 3 largest dealerships in the country (that support courtesy delivery) and ask them what would tentative production date be based on order entry today. Doesn't hurt to ask. I ordered my car in November.
I said it was too late because I have spoken to the top 3 back east. No way I could get a car ordered in March by any of them. More realistically looking at a 2021 if ordering today. As long as Connell gets my order into GM during March consensus I will be happy. Connell is communicating with me well at this time.
i bet if you were #30 on the list your attitude would be completely different. I could be wrong but you know what I mean.
I know exactly what you mean. I also had a deposit with Stall in San Diego who had more allocations than Connell. But, when I was told I was #14, I got my deposit back from Stall. If I was in the 30's at Connell, I would of stayed with Stall. Or, got a GT500 or Hellcat.
In all fairness it is my understanding Connell had deposits in from buyers from the two years prior to the release. The current sales manager decided to host the viewing event for two days (expensive choice) and only take new deposits on that day. With the chaos of that morning (I was there), they decided the most fair way to do it was using a lottery system to determine the order of the new folks while still honoring the deposits made long before the reveal. I am not sure how I would have done things differently?
