Not if the car has been built. If you don't pick it up at the museum, you or the dealer(probably you) will have to pay to have the car transported to the dealership. So you'll be out the destination, the museum delivery charge and the shipping charge from Bowling Green to your dealer.
That would be the deal breaker. However according to NCM GM hasn't released any vehicles to them. So there's a slim chance I might be able to have it shipped to the dealer without incurring the extra transportation charge.

There's a lot more to it than that. The reason GM hasn't released any cars to them is because they haven't released any cars to anyone. They will begin receiving cars at the same time that the cars are made available for shipment to dealers. The car has a ship code attached to it. The ship code is for the museum and at this point, I don't think that can be changed. You would have to wait for shipping to open up, then for the car to be sent to the museum and then have the dealer arrange alternate transport from the museum.
If I were you, I would stick with museum delivery. It's more than likely going to delay the car even longer if you don't.
My dealer wants me to come in tomorrow to finish the paperwork. He's saying mine is the first one for the dealer. Here's the problem, I'm doing museum delivery and NCM hasn't had any vehicles released from GM. Not interested in paying for the vehicle now if I'm not going to take delivery for 3 or 4 weeks. I'm almost tempted to pass on the NCM and have it shipped to the dealer now.....
Oh the pain of 1st world problems.....
Passing on Museum Delivery is the smartest choice to make.

Understood. A lot of this is speculation on my part fueled by my dealer wanting the car paid for in the next few days. If the rumors are true, vehicles start being released today.
