Really getting tired some of this car being released to ship first it was post to be released sometime in December before strike now late February which didn’t happen now march with no info on what’s going on... kind of getting burnt out of the whole deal to be honest but guess we’ll wait and see
Totally agree 100%. While I completely appreciate the issues and complexity with whats happened/ happening, it's starting to get a little ridiculous and I'll probably get skewered for saying this, but.... the company's communication strategy around delivery for this car has been sub-par at best. I get more information on this forum then the company and my dealership combined! I expected more from a company as large as Chevrolet. I want this car, but i'd simply like to know when i'm getting it!
Then quit reading speculation on internet forums or your heart will continue to be broken. GM has never released a firm date for anything and most of the info you get on here is 3rd party speculation at best.
The GM press release a few ago stated " late Feb and early March", they should provide another update considering Feb is over.
I check Museum delivery area periodically. When you see cars on the floor, deliveries have begun. I have to believe there are a lot of cars pending delivery at the museum.
I'm trying to be patient. My official wait for this car began in April 2018, almost two years ago. That's when I was placed on the first list. A list at MacMulkin to be notified when I could submit a deposit to be put on that waiting list. Quite a few here have had deposits in place much longer than that. For those of us who have been waiting that long, the finish line seems close.
With respect to the QC hold, I for one would like to have as many bugs as possible out of this car before delivery. That will cut down on future threads here where posters are complaining about the car being released before it was ready.
I think about the delays this way. We have a completely new car from the ground up, being built in what can be considered an essentially new assembly plant, by either retrained or new employees. Throw in a two month strike for good measure, not to mention the strike effect on the "just-in-time" supply chain and I can see why Chevy may not have answers to all the questions we ask. Sure, GM has been in this business a long time and has rolled out new designs before. They probably had similar problems then too that we have most likely forgotten.
Delivery of the new C8 is closer today than it has ever been!. Just my 2 cents.

^^^^ We have a winner.....I like a person who cuts through all the speculation and gets down to facts.
