Just curious if GM plans on making 30k+ C8's per year like normal. Or, are they going to slice that number down?

Not this year! So far they are on track to make less than 10K. Four weeks in production and approximately 1600 produced.Originally Posted by Zora_Vette

Full production rate is 11.6 per hour with two 8 hour shifts per work day. So, 106 * 11.6 * 8 * 2 = 19,673. Assume March is at half that rate. That another 2,041. There were at least 1,500 built in February. Add those all up and you get 23,214. They will built well over 15,000.

At 11.6 per hour for 2 shifts for a full production year (48 weeks) that would amount to 44,544.

I do like your numbers better than mine. Maybe I will get a MY20. It will be close. I am at ~210 at MacMulkin as of today.Originally Posted by Zymurgy

We still tend to look at this thing like same old same old and it's not. They have tooled and developed RHD, they wouldn't do that to sell 500 cars. Even if they only do 5,000, that's 5,000 of production that the good old USA won't be getting.

Actually they'll make more than they can reasonably sell -- hence the massive incentives that kick in mid-cycle as always. Making a used Corvette one of the great used car buys.Originally Posted by Zora_Vette

How many threads on production numbers do we need?
