C8 vs C7 Production
How did Chevrolet produce over 37,000 C7s in its first year of production?
i know the first MY production run for the C7 was about 12 months, but that equates to 770 cars produced a week!
The C8 is currently being produced at a rate of 400 per week.
Does this make any sense?
Will production ramp up over the next few months?

I could be wrong, but my understanding of that plant is that line speed is run a lot slower than other GM plants due to demand. With demand being up and a second shift I don't think the public has a good idea of how many cars get pushed out. We could see a lot more cars shipping than we expect with trying to meet demand.
Every year of corvette has the most sales at the start. GM is going to try and capture as much of that demand as they can.
