I own multiple body shops and have been in the industry for over 40 years. I don't specialize in Corvette's, but with the way GM seems to communicate, I doubt there is enough information out there to repair these cars the way they deserve. I certainly wouldn't want it in a dealership shop. Even though this is all pretty minor, the quarter has to be replaced and I dobt there is any information available yet. I surprised I haven't researched this yet.
My wife worked 30 years for State Farm Collision Claims. She pulled an assignment to assess a 97 C5 about a month after deliveries first started. She had to tell the owner it would be 6 months before she could even write an estimate and maybe up to a year before parts would be available. I suspect C8's will be in the same boat for a while. As I recall they ended up totaling the thing.
not a photoshop look closely. I would agree probably off track side swipe possibly.
If it hit another car or car hit it some maniac would have posted up the scene to the accident. At the track that is frowned upon especially if it was during a press training or driver instructor session. They have to push these cars to the limit so they know where that is. It's gonna happen.
