C8 vert build
Placed order on 10/14/19 and had a Preliminary Order Number right away. Status is currently 1100. I am told that status will not change until "dealership's allocation matches up with my place in line" What does that really mean?

It means that there are still other people ahead of you still waiting for the dealer to receive an allocation from GM. Dealerships are allotted a certain amount of cars that they can order each month...this # is based on previous years Corvette sales.

You need to ask your dealer how many allocations they were given in total (they were given this number last year), how many allocations they have gotten so far ( total for Sep, Dec, Jan and Feb) and what number you are currently on their waiting list. With that information, we can tell you what to expect.
