I do feel bad for all of you waiting so patiently for this car. It sucks. But you gotta think it will just be all the more sweeter when you take ownership and drive it.
Seems like the C7 will be THE KING for a little while longer.
Possibility of auto loan rates being lower once the cvirus is beat, and production restarts, could be your silver lining.

Naw, I'm at 3000 with no tpw and in Idaho where we get our cars by rail. I'll be lucky to have the car by the end of July and by that time half the season is over for me and the car will sit for 4-5 months. I placed my deposit at the end of July 19. It's too late to get my deposit back since I'm at 3000 so I've heard but maybe the dealer would rather sell it with ADM and give return my deposit.

I used to be the guy who bought sports cars and let them sit for months in the winter. Did that with my C7. With my GT350 I said screw that, I bought a set of snow tires and drive it on clear days when the roads are clear. I have a whole wash system at home and can clean the underbody too using a salt remover spray.
Drove it all winter and we only had two real snow days. The days of me having cars that sit for half the year are over. Life is too short and it really has no effect on resale.

So this looks like it will only close for a little over a week... Says they will report back to work on March 30th.
Just yesterday they said the plants would remain open. No one knows what the timeline is now. I think it will go way past March 30th but hoping that's not the case.
My TPW was next week, I'll wait a little longer but I'm losing my patience. GM screwed us 1LT people. At some point I am going to want my deposit back.
lol, you guys have to get a grip. This thing is much bigger than whether you get your C8 a month later than expected or a 2021 instead of a 2020. This is about life as we know it shutting down until this virus gets under control. Get your priorities in order and your perspective together and see the big picture. Driving around in a C8 should be the least of your concerns at this point.
Like a few others, I am starting to lose interest in the C8 as well, watching all the Youtubers was already starting to annoy me and then now we wait longer. UGHHHHHHHH
I could have had a C7 Z06 for over a year now and would be having a blast already.
Human lives are way more important than this car. I've had mine on order since last year and have been patiently waiting at 3000 for 2 months. It's just a car and everyone will simply have to wait a bit longer. I hope and pray everyone makes it through this safely and in good health.

After 8 months of waiting, my car was scheduled to start the build process tomorrow. Oh well, we did expect this. If it's in the best interest of the employees, it's the right thing to do. The cars will get built eventually. Not happy, but it is what it is.

I live in East Idaho which is the coldest and snowiest portion of the state/country. Our roads are garbage...it's not that I care about getting it dirty but just to be safe.
Yep it’s just a toy. We will just have to wait a little longer for our cars. Looks like it’s gonna get worse before it gets better. Hold on we are in a for a crazy ride.
