after 4 wks in QC dealer finally found out that the factory put the wrong seats in car. Car is in limbo, dealer had been invoiced 3 wks ago. According to manufacturer this wasn't an isolated unit. Manufacturer won't release car with this issue until its corrected. anybody else in QC

Sorry to hear that about your car. I’m sure you are really frustrated. Maybe you should drive your best friends until yours shows up.
I hope it was shipped yesterday.

at least they realized the error before it shipped....at least you didn't find out when you went to pick it up at your dealer to see the wrong seats in it.

My car vin 1087 was in QC since build date 2/20. Supposedly it was released from QC two days ago. Who knows, I still don’t have a truck assignment. What’s your vin? What seat did you order?

Let's hope they didn't forget to put a part in the engine or drivetrain....

Destination and status need to be filled out in order to ship. Called the head of Cooper shipping in BG(someone giave me is cell#) and he said it hasn't been released and that was Thurs@8am. Hopefully it has been by now. Factory clai s they received the new set of seats. What a mess.. Onstar last week showed air pressure at 30,31 then it went blank for a day. Then showed 34's now onstar is not reading anything again. Which means it might be ready to ship

Man, that mistake sucks. Hopefully the correct seats will be installed and you get your car soon.

It wasn't Bubba's fault. Bubba installed the seats he was given, the ones that came down the line. Everything is pre-staged. For example, when the tires and wheels come down the chute, they are the precise wheels ordered for the car. All Bubba does is install them. The mistake had to have been made up the line. Either whomever set up the pre-staging did the wrong seats, or else the order sheet itself was wrong. It's a "just-in-time" system. so it's likely there's another car installed incorrecly with your seats.

Bubba isn't responsible.

I think you should drive either you Lambo, Ferrari or Porsche. Or come over and take my C8 for a few days. Let’s hope it shows up this week.

QC = Quality Control and people are upset when the process works as intended and finds defects. **** happens... be glad they found it.

Fun story I recall a post in the early C7 days where a car was delivered to the dealer with a 1LT seat on one side and a 2LT seat on the other side

Mistakes do indeed happen. I special ordered a MasterCraft X-Star wakeboard boat. The dealer called to say the boat had been delivered. I headed down to pick it up, only to discover they put the wrong engine in the boat!

MasterCraft sent a truck, picked up the boat, took it back to their plant in TN, did the engine swap, and sent the boat back. Turned out all good, but was disappointing at the time.
