Yes.....Did a physical match on the car to the Paint book...
It's "Caught Red Handed" code WA132x (It's a '14 Cadillac ATS, Camaro color). Found 2 part spray (search ebay with that code) and I'm ready to go. Maybe later this week..

Thanks for the info - please post some pics as your project progresses!
Seems like a good way to go. It's not really a difficult part to tape and paint at first glance. Not sure that $350 for a new one makes a lot of sense. I think I'd also take the time to hand paint the crossed flags before clear coating the whole thing. My only concern is the clear getting cloudy over time.
It would appear if you want the red engine cover at the lowest price would be to order your car with the standard cover. Once you receive the car purchase the red cover at one of the aftermarket dealers, then sell the original cover.

There can’t be much of a market for the stock engine cover.Every Vette one. I sprayed mine the same color of the car LBR. I’d buy a stock one for $25 or less just to experiment with a multicolor paint scheme and possibly color in the Corvette logo. (the Z51 spoiler is a good seller)

Can someone send me a link to where they bought the paint from? I’m trying to find torch red paint and want to make sure it’s the right color as well as right heat resistance for the job.

Goggle automotive paint supply stores in your area. May even try a body shop, they could mix your red. Bring the paint code with you. Expect to pay up to $75 a pint for red colors. Red is the most expensive color. . My LBR was $75. for a pint, torch red could be less since its non metallic and not a tint coat.

Did you apply any primer before and clear coat after?

Wash down area with Acetone (no lacquer thinners ever) Sand lightly with 220 wet or dry. wipe again with Acetone. Use a light or medium gray primer. Three coats of color , three coats of clear coat. Read all directions relative to drying time between coats. Im not sure if you using a spray gun, like I do, or you are going to buy spray cans.If you are not using a gun , there are many places on line that will sell you spray cans for both color and clear coat. The primer you could buy at Home Depot etc,
Since this is not going to be exposed to the elements as much as the exterior I'm wondering if the clear coat is as necessary? The more layers of pain the more likely to crack or peel?

Clear will give additional gloss to the color. Two light coats will not cause any cracking problem

Just so you know, Torch Red won’t match the valves covers which are finished in Edge Red. The Red C8 Accessories Cover is finished in Edge Red.
