Default Trunk space question for current owners

Hi All

I know this question may got a lot of abuse but I wanted to know in the real world experience if the trunk really holds two full sets of clubs in standard size men’s stand bags?

I have seen a C8 in person twice at dealer reveals and have a hard time thinking the second set would fit and the trunk lid will close? Any current owners try this yet?

^^^ More importantly, can it fit a guitar case?

Yes, I've seen the trunk in person, it should hold two standard stand bags without removing the clubs. (provided that they aren't packed full of crap and look like weebles), and it sure looks like it should hold a single guitar hard case. At least my Taylor GA size.(positive the Strat and the PRS will fit) IIRC the trunk is about 55" wide and something like 16" deep. Shoes should fit too.

I'm not an avid golfer, but do hit he links a couple times a year. I'm going to say it totally depends on which bag you have. The smaller bags shouldn't be a problem, but much like the rest of America I've seen the bags become bloated and fatter over the years. Now some have stereo's, speakers, coolers, etc. (John Daily has a bag with a damn television on it), those "luxuries" might be an issue. A "regular" bag should fit.

I don’t know anything about golf but I have some opinions on gigging with a C8: I’m thinking one guitar in the rear trunk (the Les Paul Lifton case is smaller than the Strat/Tele rectangular hardshell, so a Les Paul is probably a better choice), and a small combo amp like a Princeton Reverb for the Frunk. Finally, a small (maybe a medium size) pedalboard can go on the passenger seat. Seems doable if you’re not gigging with Marshall stacks.

Looks like the frunk could fit a MustangIII amp... maybe. And if you’re good enough, you don’t need no stinking pedalboards....lol. (Seriously, just kidding, I started playing just a few years ago, and am just barely past the “I suck” stage... so the only thing a pedal would do is confuse me.. ;-). )

The friggin' frunk frigged the design potential for frontal downforce as with all GT40 variants and the Tributo for the sake of holding some friggin' groceries.

Could be but this is a car that 99% of the purchasers will drive for pleasure over specific competition purpose. Frunk makes perfect sense for “the many” over “the few, or the one”.

I was able to fit a full size Titleist stand bag w woods and a second low profile stand bag w woods. I am not sure two full size stand bags will allow the hatch to completely close flush.

I use another blue vehicle to transport my clubs since mine are in the LARGE bag. Although my C6 will hold 3 sets and luggage.

Amazing Chevrolet built a rear engine car with a usable front trunk. Guess the Corvette Design Department didn’t get that memo?

Right about the Mustang amp, but the biggest guitar case you'll get in the back is also a Mustang (don't try a dreadnought); and, expect it to be grossly out of tune by the time you hit the gig - they recommend warming your pizza back there, eh. (But I have put two reasonably large golf bags in the back with no trouble).
