Cabin fever setting in so I just had to get out of the house for a bit. I drove up to my friends shop to look at a couple of C8's he had in to do Ceramic coating and have XPEL wrap.
Here are some pics - these are brand new cars. The White car is awaiting work and the Orange one just finished. The white car was flat bedded to the shop - not even registered yet.
Isn't there a recommendation to wait at least 30 days before any ceramic or PPF? Are these cars past that or is the 30 day deal now as big as some have told me? Both dealer and XPEL installer said to absolutely wait at least 30 days.

Not that I am aware of. The 30 Day wait, I believe, is for new paint. The panels on the C8 are likely a lot older than 30 days when delivered.
Must have been the camera. The exterior looks awesome though. I'm pondering the ceramic coating and will probably do that if the car ever gets built. Lucky you.
Do you have any pictures of the PPF applied to the front (bumper and full hood ) of the car? Wondering how it came out and how hard it was to apply because of the complexity of the hood and front bumper.

It's the illusion given from the perforations in the seat. Nothing dirty about it, just gives off that appearance.
The driver's seat on the Orange looks dirty and a little worn. Strange for a just delivered car.
The perforations on the ventilated seats will appear darker to a camera lens when viewed head-on. Change the angle-of-view, and a different area will appear darker.

Reason: typo

Makes sense. It also gives me an explanation of why the black seats at times look faded in some of the pictures I've seen. I ordered the black seats and it had me concerned. I feel better now. Always better in person. On another note, the choice of wheels on this Orange looks damn good. IMO

ME TOO....... I was wanting to order ELB with the sky gray interior, UNTIL I saw the sky gray interior in person. WAY too light for me and the perforations in the seat made it appear very dirty. Changed plans and ordered a Torch Red car with the Two Toned red / black GT2 seats in a 3LT.

the entire car was wrapped. I just took some snaps
the front takes 12 separate pieces. They are custom cut. I couldn’t tell where the lines are

Picked up mine at NCM 2 days ago, red with black stripes. I have an appointment for window tint and PPF this coming Monday and am having a hard time deciding whether to put XPEL PPF over the vinyl hood stripes or not. I have read-up on the various opinions on this topic and can't find any clear answers. Did the orange car above get PPF over the stripes? If so, was the entire hood done as one piece or was a cut line made in the film at the junction with the edge of the stripes? Lastly, any obvious difference in the carbon-flash stripes now that the hood has glossy PPF over the vinyl and the roof (presumably) doesn't?
yeah you ought to see his Ferraris Yep that’s right. He has more than one. We call him the Ferrari guy
