Default Red engine cover install

I just received my red engine cover for my C8. Seems like a very easy install but I was wondering about the single clip at the front of the cover. Is there a special way to loosen it. If so I would appreciate knowing the correct way. Thanks.

A trim removal tool will help with removal of the clip. This video should help:

just pull it straight out. It does take some force, but you won’t hurt anything. First I released the fuel line, and I did it after the cover was off.

I don't have my C8 yet, but I can at least play with my engine cover... I'm gonna have to color in the logo though, that plain ALL red logo won't cut it.

Got my Car Cover too! Now, if I can just find the patience to wait out this damn pandemic... My car is at 3400 and holding!!!

I would have painted the flag on mine, but I was too anxious to put it back on the car and drive it!

DIY Paint job using:

1) adhesion promoter
2) WA132X 2 part paint in spray cans (Ebay 262527549239)
3) Gloss

Total < $50

I had my engine cover painted to match the calipers, not bad! If you're in Los Angeles and need tint, clear film, and random things like this done. I'd HIGHLY recommend talking to Christian at http://www.alpharestyling.com
