Default C8 factory headers?

Does anyone have any info on the C8 stock headers?
Pipe diameter?
Length?
What are they made of?
I did a few searches with no luck.
Thanks,
Bob

What are they made of? 321 SS is way better than 303 or 304 stainless.

I did a few searches with no luck. Give the guys 3 weeks AFTER they receive a C8 to "play" with.

Because these flow so good as is, hopefully the aftermarket will invest in American made income or titanium since you can’t really pick up much flow but you could drop a lot of weight or look cool.

Yep the C8 headers look great in all those GM marketing pics! Too bad in reality they are covered in the necessary insulation and heat shields!

Yep Titanium or Inconel would look pretty BUT without the heat shield and insulation you'd melt the composite parts!

There are aftermarket headers being developed now. Magnaflow and another company have prototypes on C-8s running tests. There is a video on one of the prototypes on the dyno. Sounds awesome!

I would put off installing headers until the PCM has been 'cracked' and the car is capable of receiving a quality tune.

Done from underneath. Pop off the underbody flat floor (about 25 retained fasteners, I've read), and they are easily accessible from underneath. Along with belts, alternator, coils, water pump.
Also, plugs are supposed to be good for 125K miles, so most owners will never have to worry about them.

^^
Thanks for info. Looking at this pic, 25 fasteners sounds about right for those right of the center section.

FWIW, thought Tadge's comment on the Autoline interview was interesting. Where the underbody sections are thin, designed just for Aero, the center section with the shinny visible bolt heads is also structural. It creates a ridged box center structure providing some of the chassis stiffness. He mentioned it as one reason for the C8 weight as it's made from 5 mm thick aluminum and the bolts join it to the "U" shaped upper structural making a box! In the leaked C8 hybrid info it will also hold the battery and battery AC cooling!
