Default Competition seats

I’m 6’1”, 200ish. These seats fit my torso perfectly, but are comically tight in the thighs. It is strange how disproportionate they seem to be. (I have/had racing buckets in several other cars/race cars, and they fit great.) Bizarre.

I've heard this complaint before from others.

6’6 - 220lbs. Waiting to sit in them myself. I found the GT2 seats not very comfortable and tight. If the comp seat feel the same but with taller side bolsters I’m going with the comp seats.

Do you think they'd be too uncomfortable for a couple hour drive? At this point would you still choose the comps over the gt2 seats?

Wrong conclusion! The comp seat has longer and more inward facing bolsters — even with them both adjusted all the way outward. If you did not like the GT2 seats either a) they were not adjusted outward as far as they could go, or b) they were properly outwardly adjusted to the max, and if so you would be even more uncomfortable and tight with the narrower comp seats.

I drove for 2 hours- way too much. Even if I drove knock kneed, still way too much. Like I said, it is frankly bizarre how the torso is perfect, but the thighs are comically tight. I would not get competition seats again.

I plan to get a Z06- might skip Corvette seats and get after market (I am generally anti that kind of thing).

You would think that there would be some way you could try these seats before you actually order your car. Now I know that this isn't meant to be an overly expensive sports car but I wish GM had a design center in major cities where someone who's ordering a car from the factory can go and check out all the different colors, interior materials, seat options, etc. They don't have to build a separate building just have it in one of the larger dealerships, the configurator is all but useless IMO for anything other than generating a pic of your car.

Have frequent my local dealerships as much as possible to hopefully get answers to this and a few other questions before my order goes in. Challenge with stay at home order in place. But one manager was nice enough to let me sit in the a C8 last week. Didn’t adjust the bolsters at all in GT2 seats. The seat wasn’t comfortable at all. It was stiff. I’m thinking comp seat will be most comfortable. I’m a slim guy btw!

GM had the seats on tour with the cars over the winter.

... but generally not available to sit in. The car I saw in Scottsdale last August, you could sit in were the GT2 seats, worked fine for me, 6' 0" 178#

I’m 5 foot eight 145 lbs and the Comp seats are tight. It’s the thigh bolsters towards the back. Your basically sitting on them a bit. You can adjust the firmness of the upper bolsters, but not the thighs which is a bad design. If you want to track your car they are really really supportive and you do get used to them, but as I said in other posts, if you are not going to track your car on a regular basis don’t get them.

Not just taller but also narrower in the seat. The back has lots of room... it's through the hips/legs that it gets really tight.

I really LOVE my competition seats. I'm 5'10" with a very fit build and 175lbs. They are tight on me (but I love it) but if I were 15 pounds heavier, they would be too tight IMO.

I have 700 miles on my comp seats and yes, they are snug in the thighs, but still very comfy, even on road trips. I'm 5'11" 200ish.
