Default Interior question

I ordered my ELB C8 with the Sky Cool Gray interior. Looks great but concerned about how easily the suede will show dirt and finger stains. Anybody have experience with suede protection products?

The stable has a variety now.

It'll be fine, wash your hands. Clean the wheel with a hand washing brush.

What Suede? The leather will have dye transfer from dark colored denim, and sweat, etc. Make sure you have a good detail shop apply a high end protective coating such as Gyeon from day 1. Will make a world of difference.

Obviously they parked the Vette first and then pulled the Mustang in.

Can't be any worse than the Natural tan.

When I saw this in person to me it looked white. Attractive for sure -- but I didn't know it was "gray" until finding out later.

If you are anything like Cade Langmore, then don't sit in it. Just look.

The seats look to be all leather. Where is the suede?

My thoughts as well, unless he is talking about the 3LT headliner... which shouldn’t be much of an issue.

Funny, wife has a BMW X5 SUV with very light gray interior. Almost white. About the same time I had a 3LT Kalahari, which never gave me a problem. However she had new dark blue jeans and they had stained her bolster. She asked what I use on the Vette to clean interior! I was shocked as she would never ask me about cleaning anything!

I had purchased Zaino cleaner and conditioner because I use other Zaino products. So tried the cleaner and it worked! She thought I was a genius! I'll probably use it on my Natural Dipped if needed! Know others say not needed it's all plastic coated BUT worked on her car!

There is suede on the pillars and the headliner- I opted for the two tone sky cool gray so the inserts are black- that to me is a bigger issue (keeping it clean)
I don't think the suede will be a problem.

Very common. I thought so too and have seen several YouTubers mistakenly say it’s white. Exterior color can aggravate that perception.

Exactly this. I had light tan and light gray interiors in a couple of my daily drivers over the years, and they both had blue-jean transfer. Very annoying. Makes me leery of any light-colored interiors. But they sure look great when they're clean!

Thanks for the input. Yes the seats are leather but as mentioned the pillars, headliner, and above the windshield and visors are all suede. I ordered a recommended suede protectant today. Hopefully it will help seal the suede. Yes I backed the Vette in first and then the Super Snake just for the picture. I will keep the vette in this garage most of the time.

I hope what you ordered isn't for real suede (as in, made from leather). The "suede" in Corvettes is microfiber. E.G., plastic. GM calls it micro-suede, and it's their version of Alcantara. DO NOT put any kind of leather suede treatment on it.

GM recommends a damp cloth, nothing else. If you manage to get it real dirty (what, are you driving with your feet on the roof?), use Sonex Alcantara cleaner:
