I assume you formatted it correctly?

I don't think you are supposed to format the NAV sd card. It comes with the car from GM.

Did you look in the center console? The card is there right next to the usb plug... (unseated? Missing?)

Dealer diagnosis
Took it in and based on the code (40000.0112) it is either the card reader unit or the display unit (yikes)! They are ordering the reader unit that is in the armrest console. Don’t know how soon that will come in.

My bet is a corrupt SD card.
Had this in my kid's 18 Terrain (has the same 3.0 or whatever version the C8 has).
They ordered me a new card because they tried to install an SD card off of a stock unit and it was actually mated to the car itself.
Worked for 50 miles then displayed that same message again.
Good luck. Probably just sd card.

Still waiting on a call from dealer with the new part (SD reader), but the damn thing has been working great since.

I assume that if you used Car Play that wouldn't appear.

I think on my wife's gmc the message came up once the infotainment system booted? But it should be a simple fix if not the card it'll be card reader. If only every issue with a Corvette were this trivial lol

Yesterday I received a similar error code. Did the dealer fix the issue? What was done? Thanks

I never had the error again, so I elected not to have them replace the reader unit. Try cleaning contacts on SD card and re-insert.
