My C8 order was accepted by GM back in the February consensus, and have been at 3000 ever since. I just received an e-mail from my dealer today, that his Chevrolet area sales rep just informed him that there is a good chance that my order may end up being a 2021. I sent him back an email with several questions, including when will they know if this is official? BG start-up? and will the 2020’s that are moved to 2021, be made prior to the 2021 orders going in during May? Since I ordered mine Long Beach Red, and was looking forward to this color, I am a bit bummed over this since LBR is no longer available in the 2021 model year. I may not be the only one at 3000 that this is happening to, and if this happens starting in the February consensus, Im sure March allocations will follow. Anything else I here I’ll be sure to post it.

Interesting. If true, then you'd be doing a total reorder based on 2021 offerings. It seems a little premature though and I question the dealer's motives for "bumming" you at this stage. Of course, if that does occur, you always have the option to bail and get your deposit back, if you so choose. I'm at 3000 too and haven't planned my response to any nullification of my 2020 order, but I think it's still too early to worry about it and I wouldn't bust any moves until official notification of specific 2020 3000's being dumped by GM.

Totally agree, I achieved status 3000 on 01.22 for my HTC [with a temporary 04.13 TPW] further complicating the issue. I am waiting for the official GM notification before getting overly concerned. This will be my fourth Corvette purchased from my dealer since 2010 and I know that they will support me.
Thanks for posting that information. I too went to 3000 on 2/18. At this point I don't care if mine ends up being a '20 or '21. I just hope I don't get delivery in the Winter (I'm 18 miles south of the 45th parallel).
That’s interesting i am at 3400 broadcast to be built. My dealer thinks my car and any other cars at 3000 to 3400 will be built as 2020’s. Any orders at 1100 and accepted by March 18th will not be built as 2020’s. Oh i forgot to mention i have a partial VIN#

I am on the exact same page as you, notified in January and TPW 4/13. Haven't heard anything from my dealer to date.
The only thing that determines if your Status 3000 order will be built as a 2020 is when the BG workers go back to work. If they go back in May, then maybe, I’ll even say probably, you’ll get a 2020. If they go back in August, then your 2020 order will probably be cancelled and you’ll have to reorder as a 2021. Any guessing is nothing more than a guess.

Exactly.
I spoke with my dealer/sales rep this morning. GM is saying nothing to the dealers about when the plants will open, and he believes even they won't know for a week or so. I too have Long Beach red for my order and hope I get it, but it won't be a deal breaker if something else similar is available. If I get a 2021, I may decide against the Z51 package for a couple of reasons, one is I will be able to get 'mag ride' without the option, and two, I wouldn't have to order an extra set of wheels and tires for colder driving weather. I'm a relatively patient person, however, I ain't getting any younger.

Corvette plant manager Kai Spande did a one hour interview yesterday. He was asked several questions about 2020 production. Kai said one of the biggest problems when they return to building cars is that plants in Mexico have been shut down and parts may be slow coming. He is the interview from Rick Conti's youtube channel

According to another post "Production stopped at VIN 2741." So your parts are likely laying around the factory waiting to be put together.
