Default Brake calipers

I screwed up not ordering the bright red painted calipers. Mine are black. Does anyone know if the C7 calipers are the same as the C8? Looking at the painted caliper covers but no one has them for the C8 yet.

There’s always pulling the black calipers off, getting them powdercoated, then putting them back on.

The c7 calipers will not work.
depending on your mechanical ability... You have a few options.

You can paint your own with various kits. I did it once ten years ago on a Miata and it looked pretty good. Would I do it on a c8... Probably not.

I would get them powder coated though.
I bought a yellow used c7 that had red calipers... Something that I could never tolerate.

Had them powder coated yellow to match the car.
I think I paid like $500 in Western PA for it.
That price is going to range widely depending on where you live, and if you bring just the calipers... or if you drop the whole car and let them handle disassemble/reassemble and storing the car on lift/jacks for a few days.

I'd call some powder coating shops in your area. Whether they are still open or not in this time, I have no idea

This guy paints his porch and then has time to paint his Porsche calipers.
This technique can be used on any calipers if you have time.

Also, if you don’t know how to do it correctly, don’t paint them or powder coat them.

THAT'S why they make caliper paint, as noted above.

It sounds like I better get them powder coated. I powder coated the calipers on my Diablo and was very satisfied. A friend had just suggested the caliper covers and I thought I would just check that out. Evidently they look cheesy. My bad.
