Maybe this C8 is better compared to your 2014 C7, which was also a first year model. My 2017 and from all the 2017-19 cars I've seen from friends, they don't have anywhere the number of issues as the guy's C8 in the video. Maybe 1 or 2 minor issues, but all of them together makes it difficult to accept on a brand new car.

I mean that X on the dash, what the heck are they doing? It's just obvious that they are still getting their act together. I'm sure GM will get complaints and figure out how to make it better consistently in the future model years.

My panels are straight and line up nicely but the paint is pretty bad.

The orange peel is really bad. It needs to be completely wet sanded and corrected.

the paint pigment isn’t consistent. I decontaminated the paint to get rail dust off, clay bard the entire car, used a solvent cleaner and ceramic coated it. The entire time you can see pigment spots under led lighting. The ceramic outing sort of hides it. Very few people I have show can see it but real paint guys can see it.

it’s no porches paint job but for the money, I’m surprised it even comes painted and fully assembled.

Always going to have that.

I think alot of the "stitch" issue has to do with this intersection of panels..

There's a lot going on at that spot and a double contrast thick stitch bring more attention to it. That is about the best I've seen to date. Beautiful combo best of luck!
