Consider yourself lucky - my car is immaculate and had 1 previous owner and 12k miles when I bought it - but out of original warranty - neither Audi or Fidelity would sell an extended warranty.
that’s interesting, my v8 had warranty left on it and I purchased an extended warranty before the factory warranty ended. When I got the v10 received a refund for the v8 and put it towards a 3 year plan on the v10.
R8 is too thick and ill-proportioned -- finally an MR car the C8 definitely looks better than, 'bout the only one, unfortunately, used R8's are dirt cheap like all Audi's. Rather have a new C8 than a used heavy and thick looking R8 for similar $$.

Ha ha Really? I love the C8 but I bet in 10 years its the Gen 1 R8 that still appears timeless....

In years to come there will be c8s everywhere.
R8s not so much. They are classic. I still love corvettes though.

Never has, never will be timeless. Ugly from the get.. Fugly for wannabe's...no it's not a "junior Lambo" it's just an ill proportioned and thick from b-pillar back lump -- truly. Maybe the ONLY MR car C8 looks better than is the slab sided ugly R8, in fact, it IS the only current MR car C8 looks better than. Sad! for Audi.

Comparing a Chevrolet to an Audi and calling the Audi 'dirt cheap' . . .
To each his own I say. My C8 is at 3000 and if my dealer tells me it will have to be a 2021 model then I will cancel my order and purchase a used 2018 R8 Plus. It's heavier but I like the styling, and the quality is top notch. I will keep it until the C8 ZR1 becomes available.
This is one of those questions I personally thought long and hard about. I had a 2016 7-speed manual Z06/Z07 3LZ convertible. I was hoping the C8 Z06 was going to be released as a 2022 model. That didn't happen. Sold the C7 Z06 along with my 2002 Corvette coupe last year as prices were increasing. Finally decided to put a deposit down on a 2022 Audi R8 a couple months afterwards. High revving mid-engine V10 supercar. The exact thing the C8 Z06 is gunning for. Took nine months, but I recently got it.
The C8’s biggest downfall is it’s too quiet inside and loses some of the “raw” sports car feel. I think an exhaust will make a huge difference and a fairer comparison. GM did a great job for those who want to tour around in the C8 but for those who like a sports car to sound like a sports car, it’s too quiet inside.
Major changes were made to the Z06 exhaust to address this.
