Default C8, engine temparature

C8, engine temparature-- took 4 miles for me to get up to 174 degrees. Appears to be plenty of cool air at 46 degrees outside temp.If that's normal temp its a lot cooler than the C7.

I have to guess you're talking coolant. My '19 Z took right at 4 miles yesterday @ 65* to reach that temp also. Oil took ALOT LONGER just to reach "punch it temperature" watching the performance data in DIC.

Jeez, that's cold out! No big deal with the C8, though. My stock C5 I drove daily for a few years has always been much the same; I've never paid any attention to my C7 I've had 2.5 years since I never drive it when that cold. You apparently do not have enough experience with your car to judge much of anything, yet (4 miles). Patience, Grasshopper. Enjoy and be well!!!

I'm not sure that's what he meant by 4 miles..

However from Ask Tadge here on this forum, the C8 has vastly better overall and track cooling, excellent.
