In the old days the next model year deliveries started in October and given that GM is probably looking at summer time or later to reopen, the timeline does sort of fit.
yeah, I'm at 1100 status. In some way I hope I do get a 2021.... It's the same car, but when you compare apples to apples in the car world, having one year newer model year, does add value. /shrug.... I'll take what comes.
There may be some cars that are too far along (VINs assigned) to make them 2021s so those will likely be 2020s.
But I'm not convinced everyone a 3000 will get 2020s. I have a HTC orber at 3000 but my bet is all HTCs will be 2021s and later at this point.
Same here, patiently waiting for HTC. Was supposed to be built 4/6 but who knows how far behind they are. I Was originally thinking of holding out for the Z06 but when I saw the hard top convertible I ordered it. I figured it would be a long time before they come out with a Z06 hardtop convertible and I still think it’s probably going to be quite a while before a Z06 hardtop convertible is made and delivered. More information keeps leaking about the Z06 but I still think with all that has happened it will probably be a long time before we see the Z06. In the meantime I am so glad I did not sell my current 2016 Z06/07. I still love driving that car.

Also, depending on what direction they go with the Z06, there may not be a HTC Z06. They may take the Z06 back to it's roots or the different engine configuration may not allow packaging of a HTC version.

From what was said when GM accepted the last orders for production, the next order cycle will be for 2021's. So if you're not at 3000 sounds like no chance for a 2020. Those of us at 3000 have a chance to have it be a 2020, delivered late. Depending on when Bowling Green starts and the production rate we might wind up with 2021's Frankly I don't care either way.

Truth is, no one knows what's happening. What if a supplier for some reason doesn't re-open, what if after a week someone at BG comes down with C19, hell, we don't even know when the plant will open up. I will say this though, my BIL works for FCA and my sister says that he's back to work May 4 (this is up here in Canada though) so there's a light at the end of the tunnel if all goes well.

It amazes me the stupidity of some dealers. GM has not told one dealer what production is going to be going forward for any product line. We have the top three Corvette dealers in the country on this forum along with other dealer salespeople who know the product and what they're talking about. When one or more of them posts about production starting and what dates for 2020 build-out and 2021 startup all the rest is just gossip
Gimme a 2021 but it’s going to be missed this summer. I’m HTC at 3000.
these posts get annoying because nobody knows. No more of these until facts come out.
My dealer told me that when BG reopens, and he thinks May 4th, they will run three shifts and produce all cars 3000 or higher as 2020s. Who really knows.

Absolutely stupid generalization. If you are shopping at Walmart, that tells me all I need to know. Walmart shouldn't be allowed to sell maggies drawers. The counter clerk at the family owned gun store in Waxahachie is a retired NCO Marine range training officer. The other is in fact, a Gunny Sgt, 1st Mar Div, Pendleton. Certified armorer.

My dealer hasn't said squat. In fact, I haven't seen the younger Durant in months. However, his admin, has advised all that inquire, as soon as they are informed, the info will be passed on, eventually reaching those of us that wait.

Me too - and I hope you are right ! Fingers crossed that they put us at the front of the line.
So, when the plant closed. There was cars partial built at different stages?
i say, they would at least finish those and the rest at status 3000.
I got an email from GM concierge in Late March that I will be getting a 2020 I’m at 3000 waiting to get to 3400 and then get production week .
but it’s all a crap shoot till we know when the plant is safe to reopen
