At 3300 the order is "firm" and your dealer will end up getting the car. You can cancel your purchase with the dealer but risk losing your deposit. Your best option, if practical, is to go through with your 2020 purchase.

Prolly SOL if that car is actually built depending on your order details. If not built, you should get your deposit back and just go with another dealer. Plenty of 2021 slots out there, I’m sure. A reputable forum dealer is the best bet. Couldn't hurt to put a refundable place-holder deposit now if your present order isn’t built.
Work with the dealer to find a replacement buyer.
I'm sure someone on the forum that has a car still at 1100 would gladly cancel their order and just buy yours directly from the dealership in order to get the car much sooner.
I believe it is all over that this forum that once you get to 3000 any deposit is non-refundable and no changes can be made to the order. I would think that your dealer would have shared that with you, either at the beginning or once you got to 3000 status. It does make sense that if you cancel a 2020 order at 3000 or later you would be put to the back of the line for 2021's.
Yeah. It's locked in... But I don't see any reason they couldn't sell it to someone else when it arrives.
They might not care to deal with it, but if you bring them a new buyer, shouldn't matter to them
I would bet you could sell it used for more than you buy for, they are in high demand & the Plant is not producing due to this whole Covid thing
Here is one on Bring A Trailer for sale, watch this & see where it lands. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2020-chevy-corvette/

I am curious, why are you canceling the order and telling the dealer you want a 2021?
The O.P. has been on the forum for 10 years so I am sure he knows the ropes. Probably better than his dealer does.
I don';t think he is trolling either but may have run into some financial difficulties that mitigate his not getting the 2020 on order.
My take is that he is going to forfeit his deposit due to the 3300 order status of his existing order and his dealer stand to make a bit extra by
selling the car when it comes in. Unless, of course O.P. ordered some ungodly combination that no one else wants.
So if after 10 years of being on the forum he is listening to advice from people who are just sitting around the house looking for something to post about
then I don't think that anything said will make any difference to his dilemma.
My advice, from another unknown on the internet, is to get the car and if he is in a tough situation and can't swing it, SELL.
Should be able to turn it quickly and maybe pick up a buck or two, if he is buying at msrp.
If he wants a 21 then he needs to call one of the big dealers and put down, yet, another deposit and start all over.

Start with your dealer and see if they want your car for stock. If so, then they will keep it and refund your money. If you can't get a loan, then they will still have to keep the car. Also, as others have said, you can try to transfer to someone else who is waiting. Please list your options here and see if you can generate interest.
I may want to pass if my car doesn't get delivered this summer as I won't drive it in colder weather and don't want it to sit for a half of a year.
Quite honestly with the demand of the car, the dealer should be doing back flips to hand you your deposit back. An ad or a few phone calls and your 2020 will be spoken for before it's built. Seeing the market he could just throw it on eBay and make thousands over list. There is no reason to believe the dealer won't give the deposit back because he's "stuck" with the car, he isn't. The deposit thing was to separate the dreamers from the buyers.
