Sage advice, if EVERYONE did that and GM sold 0 new Corvettes, the program would be cancelled and there would never be another Corvette. There, we fixed that problem.

There are 2 latches on the frunk. The issue is when you open the frunk by any of 3 methods it trips BOTH latches at the same time. It is not clear if the 2nd latch was to be a safety or not but could easily be turned into a safety latch.

If you listen when you open the frunk you can clearly hear both latches release.

This makes sense because the manual says it can fly open when driving if not latched AND to do a manual override to open, you have to pull on the cable twice to open it.

My understanding is that here are 2 latches so if you are using the battery tender plugged into the power outlet in the frunk, you can close the frunk to the first latch and not crush the power cable that is now snaked out of the frunk and plugged into an outlet in your garage.

But the problem is that they are both released when any of the opening methods are used. I think only one latch should open, the second latch should have to be manually released to open the frunk, like the hood on any front engine car.

you ever get to the bottom of that on your car? You said you would make a video also. Did you post it in another thread?
