My guess is a Parking brake problem. Perhaps its not releasing or it won't grab . Creep disabled means the car won't move forward on its own if you take your foot off the brake but do not hit the gas. Most likely its detecting a drag on the parking brake or no operation of the parking brake.
The parking brake is also used for the hill holder function so the car does not roll backwards if you are on a hill and not pressing anything. It lasts until you hit the gas or after 5 seconds will release the parking brake. Some cars with DCT's have this. Not sure about the C8. So its also possible its this tilt sensor.
It would be interesting to see what the dealer says.

When the vehicle is stopped on a grade, Hill Start Assist (HSA) prevents the vehicle from rolling in an unintended direction during the transition from brake pedal release to accelerator pedal apply. The brakes release when the accelerator pedal is applied. If the accelerator pedal is not applied within a few minutes, the Electric Parking Brake will apply. The brakes may also release under other conditions. Do not rely on HSA to hold the vehicle.
HSA is available when the vehicle is facing uphill in a forward gear,
or when facing downhill in R (Reverse). The vehicle must come to a complete stop on a grade for HSA to activate.
