Default Removing "Corvette Script" from engine cover?

Has anyone taken it off and re-attached? Held on with double sided tape? Did you replace the tape?

I ordered the silver engine cover and do not care for the black grained scripts. I want to swap the polished ones from the standard black cover to the silver cover.

Two sided tape, rip it off. I haven't done this, but we do have confirmation it is only two sided tape. Pry steady and slow maybe wave a hair dryer over it to soften the adhesive. Post your results. They are a free flow part number if you bugger them.

So the aluminum scripts can be had separate from the engine cover? If so I'd just order 2 new aluminum ones.
