As I recall PVD is not a true chrome plating process. It is a chrome powder coating that holds up better than chrome. There is no pitting or peeling of the chrome. I almost went with a set of PVD chrome wheels back with my 2008. They do look nice. II have ordered the Spectra gray Trident wheels for my ZBM. I will probably get a set of MRR/NES Bronze wheels. Then maybe I will look into powder coating the Spectra gray sections to be a bronze color for a second set of wheels with A/S tires. Who knows! I need the car first!
Curious why you spent BIG money in shipping and PVD Coating Factory Cast Wheels
vs buying After Market FORGED Wheels that "most" people think are stronger and
better looking ???

these cost less than $1200 shipped and I like better than after market.
And I still have my factory wheels And tires to sell.
While waiting for OP's name of pvd provider, I'll toss in a big co. out in CA that does excellent work, California Chrome Wheels in Valencia (Calchrome). They did my black chrome years ago, and despite changing state environmental laws were able to match the look and quality in a subsequent wheel repair. Plus, if you look at their shipping page, they are second to none on how they box their shipments---may sound unimportant until you get a damaged wheel. I guess that's also time and money to them and so they do it right.
