My order is placed with dealer.
Since I cant officially put it in yet with GM.
I Was thinking about upgrading my trim level.
“I picked 2LT” What is difference between 2LT and the 3LT. What do you get with the 3LT that you dont get with 2
Thanks!
A dash that comes apart, and some more, better, materials inside. ((oh and you don't have to pay extra for the better GT2 seat, it comes with the 3lt.)

Essentially money! If I were getting black interior would never pay the extra!
Just look at the GM build a 2020 C8 website, it shows the 3LT over a 2LT includes:
GT2 Seats with Napa Leather and Carbon-Fiber Trim
Custom Leather-Wrapped Interior
Suede-Wrapped Upper Interior Trim
Leather-Wrapped Lower Doors
You can pay extra for the GT2 seats with a 2LT IF that is what you want.
In my case had a 3LT 2014 Z51 with Kalahari (tan) color over much of the interior. GM got cheap after 2016 and made the 3LT look like a "patch work quit" IMO! So I got a 2LT Grand Sport. Didn't need or want Nav or camera system. For the C8 both come with 2LT or 3LT.
But GM hooked me back to spending more with the Natural Dipped Interior only available with the 3LT. So spending the extra bucks! Since like my other 5 Vettes it will be a DD I'm getting upgraded optional Black floor matts.
3LT natural dipped is what you want! That looks ultra premium... agreed that the 3LT extra bits of leather trim gets a bit 'lost' if you go with black interior.
I always buy 2LT. I just don't see the value in what you get for such a substantial additional cost. And, maybe it is just me, but I find that the 3LT scent is very unpleasant compared to the 2LT.

C'mon! You're already placed an order and you're spending $80K and you're too lazy to learn about this very important--and well documented--difference between the two for yourself?
It's all on the Chevy "build" website, and it's been discussed here for nearly a year. Come to think of it, it seems that you're too lazy to ask your dealer....

When GM says "leather," only the GT "seating surface" is real tanned animal hide (it was the same in the C7.)

The other "leather" is what GM calls Mulan, like Chrysler's old "Corinthian faux leather," it's a Marketing name!
For the first time I have found they even admit the GT2 seat bolsters are Mulan - not real leather!
When you see the word "leather" think Mulan other than the GT2 "seating surface."
Mulan is like much of the "leather" used on furniture! It's called "bonded leather" and is man made similar to Vinyl (GM's other "soft touch" material. ) It includes up to ~40% finely ground real leather as a filler. They don't say how much ground "leather" and the furniture industry Association complains that their suppliers use their own proprietary names and don't mention the amount of real leather or durability. Frankly having a 3LT C7 Z51 and now a 2LT C7 Grand Sport. can't tell the difference in "seating surface!"
I personally feel like the 2LT w/51 and magnetic ride is the perfect bang for the buck Corvette for my needs. I really do like some of the niceties of the 3LT, but I tend to keep cars 3 years or less so I like to buy them used, low mileage, and with medium level trim packages.
