If you look at the 3:30 mark, you see some corners that were not wrapped on the back and also crooked seam on the side mirror. He says the job was $7500.
Is this typical, a bad installation, or just shows up more because it is white? Those that have PPF, is this how your mirror looks as well?

Uh.......no not typical at all. If this is the best they could they do then they should find a different line of work. Most cases you shouldn’t even be able to tell the film is on and if he did indeed spend $7500 for that them I am in the wrong line of work.

Good to know... I thought it looked like hell!
Can someone who has PPF show a close up of their mirror? I'm wondering how the seam should look.
Thanks in advance

I agree - a rather sloppy job there. And $7500 - that’s insane.
When you run the cutting program on a plotter it gives you different options for the patterns organized by difficulty. The pattern chosen in that video is the level1 hence all the relief cuts. It's a lazy half-assed way of doing it and looks like crap. For $7500 he got taken to the cleaners.

To me, it looked like the cuts were not even straight, as if if it was done freehand.
White is probably the worst color for a wrap as you probably see all the cuts pretty easy.

Yeah some are freehand, and most likely done on the paint so the owner will have damage. I had a shop to that to my Ferrari and I won a $29,147 settlement. The side mirror PPF is definitely the pre cut "easy" install kit.
I am very sorry for your experience having PPF installed on your new. I can think of nothing more disappointing than spending so much money to have your new car abused like that. You paid a ridiculous amount of money for a terrible experience. When I had my new C7 Z06 totally done after delivery it only cost $4500. For that price they did a complete paint correction on the car and did an outstanding job in putting the film on. It is nearly impossible to find a seam. They did the carbon fiber spoiler, hood vent, splitter and side skirts as well and are flawless. They had the car for right at a week which was fine with me. After picking up the car and driving for a week they had me come back and they went completely over every seam on the car to address any issues they found. This process alone took 4 hours. This is the type of experience I would expect you should have got for $7500 dollars. You should get your money back.
For under $7k I had my car fully wrapped in Avery Carmine Red, gloss black on the roof parts in front of and behind plexi roof, black metallic on lower trim, full front (including hood) and lower rocker PPF and ceramic coat. My first time getting a full wrap but I thought it was reasonable for everything I got.
