Just quoting what I was told. But why would Bowling Green go to the trouble of putting a Museum Delivery sign in a car going down the line?
I suspect you were told a story. If there is a sign at all, it's not very prominent. I have pictures of my car going down the line and it looks just like every other one. I'm sure the sticker has the destination code on it, so someone who knows the code could tell from that. I suggest that rather than get spun up about this rumor that you take it with a grain of salt. What would any given employee at any given station do differently if they saw a NCM sign? The whole idea makes little sense.

First..thanks for posting what you did...sharing info is the best part or at least one of the best parts of the forum. My comment was not really aimed at your comment but just in general. My thoughts on why they put the sticker "Museum Delivery" ---
90% of the reason is because a museum delivery car does not get loaded with the rest of the corvette and having the label/sticker on the those going to the Museum makes it easier for those that transport it.
10% of the reason....advertising/marketing. If on a corvette tour and someone sees the sign they can talk about the delivery.
I'm Sure it simplifies identifying a C8 requiring NCM Pictures.
'Not like all C8s are Black or White or Orange or Blue or Red - OOPs they are.
'sorry if I left out your color.
For those waiting on their C8 to arrive a the NCM for delivery, Shane Web, NCM Delivery Department Manager sent this message. Apologies if this is a redundant post from somewhere else.
Of course this leads to speculation as to why Z51s are on hold while others are not.
Greetings,
While this may be redundant for those who have contacted us on an individual basis, we wanted to reach out and provide an update on the status of your car. Your car has been built, but remains on hold. We received a small shipment of non-Z51 units on Monday. We’re still anxiously awaiting the release of Z51 units, as well as other non-Z51 units that were recently built.
We are in daily communication with the Plant and transport company regarding a release and will certainly reach out once that occurs.
To find the shipping status of your 2020 Corvette, go to https://www.palsapp.com/ then click on the search icon on the top right of the page (looks like a magnifying glass). Enter your VIN and click the search icon to the right of the input field.
Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions you might have.
