Hello All
New member here. Waiting in line like most of you. Forgive me if this is a repeat question as I have not read all past threads here. I have a LBR HTC on order at a very large Hendrick dealership here in N.C. deposit early Feb. 1100. I realize it has been stated many times here that 1100 has no chance at a 20. With less than 4K orders for HTC’s accepted so far why is that the case? 90k car. Wouldn’t they want to make as many 3lt cars as possible?
After reading the Detroit Free Press today, I am wondering if the HTC will be produced in 2020. The convertible would slow production for a time and BGA needs to produce as many as possible. They could remove 4-5000 HTC and give many reasons for doing so. Hope I am mistaken!

Are you asking if an HTC order should jump the line ahead of an early Coupe order? Did you put your deposit down in FEB 2020 or 2019?
I would guess that it has more to do with how many deposits/orders for coups were in before yours than it does how much they will make off of each car. At this point, I don't believe they are even going to finish all those orders. I'm guessing that they may not even get to HTCs at all before they start producing 2021s..
Also, I believe LBR is not going to be available for 2021, so you may need to check with your dealer about picking a different color.
Edit: I should add that as far as LBR being discontinued, I guess that doesn't mean that they won't continue making some for a while (maybe to fill pre-existing orders like yours) But I honestly don't know how they typically handle that situation.
Well, it seems to me that the number of cars, orders, coups versus HTCs that will or won't be built for 2020 seems pretty fluid these days, so it's tough to assume that anything anyone says is more than "just a guess". But believe what you will.....

No. Not at all. My understanding is if a second shift is added early July, they will be able to make the 20ishK orders they have at 3000 plus some. At that point one could expect the bean counters at GM to start pulling orders based on msrp, not necessarily order that’s all. Cool your jets, I’m not trying to jump in front of you.
This forum is like a doctors waiting room where everybody is sitting around reading "Modern Health Today" and wondering whether they have cancer or should hold off, in case they need to give a urine sample... welcome to the party.
If I was GM I would do the biggest money orders 1st. I mean show me the money. 3LT’s with the most options 1st. Then the 2lt’s and so on, I mean GM’s not doing it this way of course.

So, a buyer that orders a base car with no options waits until the end of the production year to get a car. Not a good business choice.
