Manual transmission keeps most people from attempting auto theft.

Don’t be discouraged, I covered my Corvette, Lotus, and other cars everywhere I went for more than a few minutes, for years. I don’t regret it. Will probably do the same if my car ever shows up.
Excellent advice. I've done the same. It doesn't take long to cover and uncover the car. You get into a routine of how to fold it. People tend to not bother things they can't see. A percentage of thieves will not want to bother handling a big, awkward, attention getting car cover to steal a car. I recommend the Evolution 4 car cover material. It's very good for door ding protection and sun protection. The Corvette is great, because the SMC body panels are resistant to denting.

Problem with car covers is the car has to be squeaky clean before you put the cover on. If car is not clean and you put a cover on expect nice scratches, especially if the cover get blown around in the wind.

Buy a Faraday Box for your key fobs and keep both of them in there whenever the car is parked.
Cars today are easier to steal then ever and require no physical breaking and entry.
Transponder keys make this easier then ever. Look up "Relay Theft" to see examples. Keys can be in your house and they can clone them remotely and open the car, start it, and be gone in 50 seconds.
Second to a physical deterrent such as blocking the car in with another, I highly recommend everyone get a Faraday Box or pouch. Make sure you test it. Sitting inside the car, the car should not start or detect the key.

Added advantage being she rides on the roof during the day ....................... Watches for low overpasses.
