I have a quick question for those who know more about this than I do:
Do you think GM will make it a priority to build current orders that are at 3000 quicker based on the trim level (3LT & 2LT taking priority over 1LT builds)? Or are they going to strictly build the remaining cars at 3000 status and above based on when your order was entered into the database?
My order went to 3000 on Friday the 13th of March (I know, bad luck! ) and I assume my car will be one of the last built for the 2020 MY, if it gets built at all.
I'm asking because of the recent announcement that not all 2020 MY orders will be able to be built, so I am thinking maybe GM will priorities the orders where they can get the most $$$ from.
Once again Jake, your useless, stupid, emoji-laden, Kindergarten-level English replies contribute NOTHING to this forum or the Corvette community. And PLEASE...stop posting your build, we all already know what it looks like from the many, MANY times you spam it on here.
My question had nothing to do about me not wanting to wait my turn...I was simply asking a question.
No,
My car is built,1LT no option car...it’s somewhere in the lost and found section in Toledo,or maybe kidnapped in Wyoming,...but that’s another story.

Well, I take delivery of my post-COVID built 1LT tomorrow, so......
No.
I understand that, but your build was most likely past 3000 when the plant opened up. I was asking about builds that are stuck in the 3000 status black hole, lol.
The vast majority of the ordered cars are 2LT & 3LT (85%), but they have built a bunch 1LTs so it's probably just a crap shoot and luck of supplier parts availability.

Thanks Phil. I'd be PLENTY OK with a '21 MY too....it's just a shame that LBR won't be available for it.

If they can get the second shift going I still think you have a shot, but that would obviously be nothing but pure speculation. I mean mine went 3000 on Feb 19, not even a month before yours, and my car is built waiting for a ride to the dealership.

Seriously?! Wow, that's great news...lol, there may be some hope still!
Congrats on your car brother, enjoy it when it comes!

I have a well equipped 2LT on order.
Thanks for reading!
I got an allocation on 3/13/20...my dealer emailed me on the 14th..My 1 LT went to 3000 on the 18th and BGA closed on the 20th....I kinda assumed they would build the 2&3 LT cars first too, because at 1 time in 2019 the 1LT was on constraint..But I guess that's not true. which is good now because getting to actually have a car accepted by production control,I'm feeling lucky that my car will get built before end of '20 MY production.

No, absolutely not. Since you are a March allocation, it's going to be a crap shoot if your car gets built. There March allocations were much larger than all the previous cycles (Sep, Dec, Jan, Feb). There are still so many unknowns. Will the second shift get restarted and up to full speed? Will they have the parts they need? Will there be another COVID-19 shutdown? Right now, the 1st shift is humming along, producing the max on most days.

Did the 2nd shift ever get started prior to the shut down? My understanding was that the 2nd shift never happened pre-strike or pre-Covid19.
