I like that.

That does look better and more "upscale".

Agree with you. Looks good but I would add some additional color in a few areas to crisp it up some

It doesn't look like it matches. The shades look different.

That could be because the engine compartment pieces are plastic.

That looks great OP. Defintely the way it should have come given you have a display glass cover and that the first ME Corvette would have the engine compartment cover opened all the time. As well as the access to the storage area. Much more elegant.

That’s a great idea. Looks great. But I’m sure someone will have a problem with it.

1. Now the edge red valve covers and intake cover really clash.

2. did they take the quarters off or do you have tape lines?

3. Hope you never drive it in the rain.

Thought the same thing. Maybe lighting, but definitely looks off.

Shouldn’t matter. I’ve sprayed plastic pieces with a $20 can of factory-match paint & they match the adjoining body panels perfectly. A professional shop with professional equipment should be able to match the colors.

Why not paint engine cover if going through all the hassle just for car show points?

They quarters stayed on, rear hatch came off. The paint matches perfect, its the lighting.

Need to be other than Red! Could go Black for both if too much Orange. I'm hoping there will be an aftermarket engine cover that blocks the Red valve covers as my LBR will clash with the Red on the valve covers.

Something Like....
