Default C8 lease?

Anyone get any details on c8 lease? All my normal sources don’t have the numbers. I’m talking residual and money factor. I’m sure w way c8 is selling the numbers are atrocious. I rarely buy cars and always lease but I would love to know if anyone has inquired who received their c8

Money factor (.00258= ~6% APR or ~$200 monthly leasing fee) is high...monthly is just under $900

it’s awful. First rule of leasing is never ever ever ever put money down. Never ever ever. If the car is stolen or totaled that down payment is gone and you have no car. Second, you are leasing car out of warranty doing 4 years. Spending 40k for a 60 k msrp car over 4 years. 5 year ownership depreciation wise would have produced better numbers. This car does not lease well based on mf. Financial it’s the worse decision w this car. But of course financial decision isn’t always the only decision that needs to be made

I'm talking about from a monthly point of view. 565 on a car that costs 60k is not bad.

How you work your DP into your monthly is another story.

You could try to get a c8 with ZERO down, but then your monthly will be 1200+. Same thing. The issue is how people feel about putting money down on a lease.

I leased several cars in my day. I'm sure you did too. Biggest DP i put on a lease was 4k. Smallest amount i did was 750 bucks.

At the end of the day these cars are a terrible investment no matter how you slice it. A car like the C8, as desired, and wanted and needed as it is, will be fetched by someone no matter what. I mean people go from one car, finance it, or buy it outright, then 3 years later go to the same exact car of a newer year, doesn't make sense to me either. But lots of C7Z guys did it.

sir they where better numbers that gm. IT ALSO DEPENDS ON HOW MUCH THE PRICE OF YOUR CAR IS. I HAVE LEASE MOST OF MY CARS AND NEVER PUT DOWN ANY MONEY ,BUT FOR THE C8 I PUT DOWN MONEY TO LOWER MY PAYMENTS,ALSO MY HEALTH IS NOT VERY GOOD. SO THIS WILL BE MY LAST CAR.

Everyone's situation in life is different... But in general, spending 40k in a 4 year lease Is a larger net "loss" than if you bought the car and sold it 4 years later for approximately 36k... Which is only a ~27k loss.

You still should never put that much money down. You paid for a lower payment. Keep the $13,500 and draw from that to make your payment then. If your car gets totaled or stolen anytime soon, bye bye $13,500.

I agree with you.

If you throw the $13,500 / 48 months (4 yr lease) = $281 more a month. So if he did sign and drive, his payment is $849 roughly for a $62K car.

Never put money down on a lease, First payment due at signing should be only money out of pocket. Lease on Corvettes are terrible. I have sold 480 C-7, C-8 Corvettes, never leased a single one.
