I will be getting a 2021 HTC from MacMulkin and I'm 80 something on their list so it should be early next year. I'm struggling with the color. I was leaning towards Blade Silver initially (all my cars have been silver). Then I thought switching to Ceramic Matrix Gray (a very unique color), but never really seen it in the wild. Are there any CMGs in Austin Texas? I saw a CMG at Henna Chevy, but it was all wrapped up. I would love to see one unwrapped especially since it changes so much depending on the lighting.
My other potential color is the new Silver Flare, but no chance on seeing that one in the wild.
What's everyone's thought between CMG vs. Silver Flare?
My initial order was for a ELB but when I saw the CMG at the museum last year I immediately changed to the CMG. 2 of the 3 corvettes I had owned was blue but I just really liked the CMG. I'm also getting the 2 tone blue interior so I will still have some blue to look at. The silver flare is probably pretty close to the C8R's so you can get a good idea by looking at pictures of them.

CMG is one of those colors you need to actually see in person, it's almost like a Metallic Off White. With the right interior and wheels it looks great, I personally like it, but a lot do not. I'm a bit biased, as mine is Blade Silver, but the Silver Flare looks great on the C8R, it's maybe a shade darker than Blade Silver.
CMG is an odd one with me. In the sun it can look better but in the shade it definitely looked like it had blue in it. If I wasn't getting a 2020 I would've ordered a 2021 in Silver Flare. Looks like liquid metal.

I am on a 2021MY list and was getting Blade Silver, well no more. I started looking at other colors and settled on CMG. Lately however, I am leaning towards Silver Flare.

I am on the list for a '21.
I've changed my mind many times on color choice.
I began with CMG but thought it looked too much like a dirty white car.
Then went to Rapid Blue, then Elkhart Lake Blue Metallic, so I'm all over the place.
Too bad we can't see the colors in real life before ordering. It would make it a heck
of a lot easier. The GM configurator is just not accurate on displaying actual colors.

Agree....
I wonder if any of the dealers have the paint samples that GM used during the traveling road show (that had the seat options, rim options, etc.)?
You can't go wrong with Silver-it's a classy color. The Ceramic Matrix Gray is a huge conversation piece because no one is sure exactly what that color really is.
