Apparently you need a home made tie down for the frunk as well.

Its not a tool. It's a part. Of course you may need special tools and more parts to manufacture it.

If you plan on changing the brake pads to ones that produce a lot less dust, you will want one of these too:

Needed for the front calipers.

Only applies to Z51 cars. I am very pleasantly surprised at both how dust free and how strong the standard non Z51 brakes are. I can drive hundreds of miles and the wheels look good still.

If you want to remove the underbody panels, you'll need a spline socket, but I'm not sure what size.

I was told they were EP Torx sockets (Torx Plus). I don’t know the size either though.

The only standard maintenance I would/was considering performing would have been oil changes, but dealership provides Free Lifetime oil changes. This will be my first ever no maintenance ever performed by me. Possibly wiper blade changes.

Yep, installing Carbotech 1521s when my C8 Z51 arrives. Already have the pads as well as Reverse Logic Lug extensions for the larger 14 mm studs (had those for my 2017 Grand Sport and great help for the 12 inch wide rear wheels.) A Titan 22 mm lug nut socket (as well as a 1" and 2 1/2" extensions, rather than the more expensive long one as what to use as short as needed for the required 140 ft-lb torque.) Bought the special 9mm 10 point socket for the caliper cross brace AND with the confusion on the front pad pins bought a TP40 to go with the T40 wrench I had. We'll see what fits. There the post saying need Torx Plus sockets for the bottom aero panels so bought an 8 piece set by Titan on eBay for $23.

Have several sets of jack pads and 4 jacks so all set to install the brake pads and the C7 Carbon side skirts and splitter that are shipping this week. Will have those before my TPS 8/17 C8!

If you buy them at AutoZone or maybe O’Reillys they put wiper blades on if you ask. So you could avoid that too.

No one is getting near my C8 for any maintenance except my Chevy Dealership!

I had the same reaction. It's nice not to have to swap pads on a brand new car.

^^^
Yep it was the same with the C7 base car. BUT a necessity in my early (built September 2013) 2014 Z51 and my 2017 Grand Sport. Waited ~6 months on my 2014 before installing Carbotech 1521 Street pads and by then my black wheels had some pitting and I was washing the wheels every ~200 miles (3 or 4 trips to town.) After and on my GS where I installed day one, only washed the wheels when i washed the car. Expect the same on the Carbotech 1521 pads I have for the C8.

Craftsman calls them “universal” sockets. I’ve had them in my toolbox not knowing what they were for! Now I can use them when I change brake pads on my C8.

I searched everywhere online for the 9mm 10 point 3/8 drive socket needed to remove the front brake pads. I found them in China, Bulgaria, Australia and mostly in the United Kingdom. They are on eBay for under $10 with $32 in shipping charges. The other problem is that it will take at least two weeks to get them delivered. I finally ordered one from the UK that cost $18 delivered and it will take at least a week or two for delivery. This socket is used on Porsche’s, Audi’s and a few other foreign models .... and now on the C8 Corvette.

Jerry, you might want to re check about delivery time on the Amazon link..... it's October 6 to 28. I was looking at buying it earlier today. Still looking.....

Also, seeking a set of Torx Plus sockets too.
