I'm guessing it is harder for XPEL guys to install the wrap?
Actually, the emblems should be a non-factor for any decent XPEL installer. My C7 has XPEL covering the entire front end, mirrors, and the rocker panels. They put the Stingray (i.e., the "fish") back on the fenders after removing them to do the wrap, and 5 years and counting they haven't fallen off yet, and trimmed very neatly around the sunken area of the nose where the Corvette crest sits, and likewise took it off and put it back on when done using emblem tape. I did remove the rear Corvette script because I like the cleaner look without it--personal preference.
And if I were buying a new Porsche (I know off-topic, but I am a Porsche guy who owns a 67 Corvette, 2015 C7 and my 06 PCA Club Coupe 2 of 50), the block Porsche script on the rear of current model Porsches would have to go. But that's just me. All depends on the car and what badging it has. I haven't touched the original badging from my 67 or my PCA Club Coupe because they're both pretty clean in that regard.
Have you cleaned around then horrendously placed letters? Good luck polishing that panel and getting the exhaust soot out from the lettering without scratching or taking 10 minutes to do so.
I guess some want their cars to be mistaken for a Ferrari, McClaren or other. I get it though on GMC Sierra where there are way too many badges. Not so bad on the C8.
When you order a Porsche, they have a de-badge option that leaves off the model badge on the rear. It is a $0 option. Mine had that under optional equipment on the window sticker. It still has the Porsche crest in all the normal locations.
You don't see many of the high $$$$ models de-badged for rather obvious reasons.
I kept mine but really considered taking 'CORVETTE' off the rear for a cleaner look. I don't need the model of the car spelled out. My Mustang didn't need to say 'MUSTANG' across the back.
I not only de-badged my 96 impala, I took the side molding off as well. Really cleaned up the car. Later on I added old 60's impala badges to the front fenders, pretty much in the same place the stingray emblems go on the C7. Just because I liked the look.
Left the front emblem and the stingray but I hate the styling and font of the Corvette writing on the rear so I got rid of that. If it looked nice I would have left it, but it didn’t suit my aesthetic tastes. Even though the C8 is pretty cheap, I felt they could have made some writing that didn’t look so cheap.
