Last week I saw my first c8 in person at Macmulkin and was reenergized after putting my deposit down in January with them. I am in the low 30’s and was told I will be in their first cycle and looking at a December deliver.
Today I saw an orange duel stripe with a high wing and couldn’t believe how nice it looked and realized... I HAVE to have the high wing. My car is red z51 with black mirrors.
Below are a couple of questions and I haven’t called the dealership yet to inquire about this but if you would like to respond, I would appreciate it. Thanks!!
1. Does Macmulkin do an aftermarket high wing install.
2. Cost for install at Macmulkin or costs from other installers.
3. What company do you recommend for the wing and why.
3. Carbon fiber or flash and why?
4. Does a z51 car make it easier for install. What if I don’t go with z51 is the install more complicated?

I hope you aren’t counting on a December delivery. I think they will be making 2020s through the middle of December. Even if you are in the first allocation cycle I don’t think your car will be built until January with delivery in February.
I’m #92 so I may or may not be in the first 2021 allocation cycle. But if I do make the cut I’m expecting February delivery at the earliest.

Being in NH, I would prefer for an April delivery as I won’t have to worry about snow and insuring it for the winter. Mark At Macmulkin did state he thinks it will be December but if that’s the case, I’ll have it delivered and call it a Xmas present.
I’m aware of the article, I think it’s old news. The latest “official” date is still November 16th, but people have TPWs for 2020s that week already. And it doesn’t look like they can finish all the status 3000 orders by then at the rate they are going. Time will tell, I was just posting my personal opinion on how it will play out.

l had similar questions and this is what I found out:
1. Yes MacMulkin will do an aftermarket install.
2. For high wing AND 5VM style ground effects install they say it will be in the $1,000 range. Personally I thing that is too high. I saw where one member had their wing installed for $250 at a Texas dealership.
3. Carbon or flash is personal preference.
4. A couple different forum members told me that AGM was a good company to work with aftermarket and their quality was good. One of them was Harvey Gluck.
I've seen the Rick Conti video but, if just replacing the Z51 wing, do you still have to take off the whole rear bumper? Has anyone installed their own high wing?

Rear bumper has to come off, but no drilling required. Had mine done by dealer, the $1150 included installation.
