Saw a C8 at the LS Fest this weekend running a twin bottle nitrous setup. I assume that a tune would be needed and wondering if someone has been able to crack the ECM?
He would purge it out the passenger side scoop. Kind of cool.

Yes, a tune is probably needed, but I don't think anyone has cracked the ECM.
My guess is they have some way to retard the timing, perhaps with a piggyback ignition controller.
That would depend on the system, wouldn't it? If it is supplying fuel and nitrous at the proper ratios, what would you tune? I see a suggestion of timing retard, but wouldn't a rich mixture compensate so that isn't required. Maybe not optimum, but workable. also since AFR adjustment is always active, it should compensate as long as there is enough supplement fuel? Someone has already done a 100 HP shot.
Two bottles is for show. Or someone who doesn't like to refill.

You can only get away with a very small shot if you don't pull some timing, and this already assumes that the air fuels are being kept in check via a wet shot + built-in ECU corrections.
Even on a 100 shot, you probably need to pull at least a few degrees of timing to avoid knock. That said, the ECU probably will do this on its own once it detects knock, but you really don't want to rely on that type of reactionary control.

No doubt, being able to tune it would be better, but as we have seen, some people are willing to push the envelope a little to far, to be first.
