Graphene Ceramic Coating Applied
Once home from Maryland where All American Paint Protection applied XPEL Paint Protection Film, I did paint correction using Adam's Polishes One Step Polish, Microfiber Pad, and SK Pro Orbital Buffer, followed by an application of Adam's Polishes Graphene Ceramic Coating (the small bottle coating, not the spray on coating). This is Adam's newest ceramic coating offering and it's a great option for do-it-yourselfers.

I ordered my 2021 HTC 2 weeks ago and it is currently torch red /carbon flash roof and nachelles 2 tone red interior. my wife thinks the arctic white looks better but my last 4 vettes have been red. lol ,,, i have some time to decide ....

Thank you! I'm very happy with it so far.
Congrats on your 2021 HTC order! If you love red, stick with it!
I also did the Adams Graphene Ceramic Coating after double washing, claying, and polishing for minor paint correction. REALLY pleased with the product and ease of application. I bought their kit along with the UV flashlight as it was a bargain and was helpful to check for 100% coverage.
I also bought and have been using their Graphene Detail Spray for daily touch up after a ride. Nothing sticks........ LOVE IT !!!
My worry would be I would screw it up! Can you screw it up?
It would be really difficult to screw it up. Went on very easy and buffed right off. Watch the video that Adam's has on their website for specifics. I spent more time fretting over how long to wait until buffing it off. After a section of two, I just waited about 2 minutes after finishing a section to start buffing it off. SIMPLE.... Great results.
You did that after Xpel was applied? I thought the process was paint correction then XPEL then ceramic/nano coating lastly. Anyone have a recommendation for this in Houston? Thanks.

My understanding is you can't do the ceramic coating before or the film will not adhere properly.
Ceramic coatings will adhere to paint, plastic and glass. So adhering to a film should not be an issue.
My issue with film is that after a while, they do seem to look a bid faded. If this helps avoid that I'm all in. Also getting grim from the windshield easier using the washer and wiper is a huge advantage on a steeply raked windshield.

How do you get to the paint for paint correction after the film has been applied?

Wait a second...let me get this straight....You took a buffer to a car that had PPF on it already? How is it possible that the installer did not correct BEFORE the PPF went down? I don't understand that at all. What am I missing here?

Regardless, car looks great! Enjoy the new chariot and come hang with us over in the Car Care Discussion forum and let us know if there is anything we can do to help you keep the new rid looking impeccable!
The PPF installers will "paint correct" where the PPF is going to be applied. The modern definition of "paint correction" is correcting the clear coat 99% of the time.
After we get the car back from the PPF people, we "paint correct" aka polish the clear coat on the rest of the car and then ceramic coat the whole car.
I hand polished my black C8 which corrected 99% of the factory blemishes before I ceramic coated.

Applying the coating took a couple of hours with two people doing the work. And no, you really can't screw it up.

Exact results I found as I did the job!

No AAPP did correction on the areas where they installed XPEL. When I got the car back to Oklahoma, I corrected the areas that weren't covered with XPEL. Are you wanting a recommendation for XPEL in Houston or ceramic coating?

THIS! YES! Thank you!
ok so I think you are saying that the entire car was not covered in PPF and you corrected the areas that still have exposed clear coat. If so, then that totally makes sense
I had a half hour talk with the individual (Adam's employee) that does all their car shows, SEMA and product demonstrations for Adams. He talked me into doing the large spray bottle of Graphene ceramic over the small bottle. He went on to say that the spray bottle was much, much easier to apply than the small bottle. Also, cost is much less. The downside is the spray lasts 2 years where the small bottle application lasts 7 years. He said the shine/protection is just as good with the spray, just longevity suffers. He went on to say that the ease of application , to him, made the spray a no-brainer. He uses the spray on his personal vehicles. I bought the spray starter kit and the recommended ceramic prep spray. He also said not to worry about claying the car first as Chevy really protects the Vette's paint well during shipping and he's found no significant contaminates in the C8's paint necessitating claying. My paint is as smooth as a baby's butt. Being a new Adam's customer he also gave me 40% off everything with free expedited shipping (really nice guy). Everything, including application pads and their special micro-fiber towels were included. The whole delivered price was $38.

Thank you for the clarification and yes, I was hoping someone has a recommendation for an installer for XPEL and ceramic coating in Houston.
Somewhat related question. What’s the opinion / experience of Using an orbital buffer on XPEL at any point after application, if not ceramic coated ?
I was going to post a similar question about the surfaces with PPF already installed. How do you prep those surfaces? Just wash, clay, and use that alcohol spray to get everything off the surface for the ceramic coat? I can’t imagine you polish and buff the PPF, but then again I don’t know much about the subject, hence the question.

There are PPF-specific polishes that can be used to 'clean up' existing PPF that perhaps have lost some of their luster. Never used myself, but they are out there. Dunno if Xpel offers their own product to accomplish this however.
