Android auto play issues
I like to use waze in my android auto play. When i first got my car it worked without any problems. Now The screen is frozen on the first location once I launch waze in android auto play. Is anyone else having this problem.

Did you update your phone recently? I updated my Android phone and I'm seeing the exact same thing in my Audi.

I've had many different locking up,... on my Malibu Sometimes a turn off and restart for the phone is required. There are a number of things like location on/off,... are first tries though. Sometimes the screen goes blue and black. NO 1 solution. I just try different things and eventually 1 works. I do not know if it is AA or the phone causing these problems.

Make sure the settings for WAZE doesn't put it into a "powersaver" or such mode when not in use. I had that issue with my samsung phone after an update that "optimized" programs. The GPS would be lost after a few minutes because the screen turned off and it thought the app wasn't in use because it was displayed via Android Auto and not the phone directly. Changed the GPS programs to "never" and no issues since.

As others have stated, either a phone operating system update of the app update could have changed some settings. Occasionally after some update, I have to make sure that the phone allows the USB connection to transfer files. Sometimes I've found it reverts to "charging only"... It has not been a problem for the last several months...I"ve also had to delete and reinstall AA once.. (again, this was in my C7 and over the 5 years I've owned it..)
