Windshield glare
Totally misleading! Yep I can take a pic of a black dash and get glare at the right angle. In fact had glare on my 2017 2LT Grand Sport with an all black dash at the right sun angle!
I had a 2014 C7 3LT with Kalahari (tan) interior before GM got cheap with all 3LT interiors in 2016! It had black next to the windshield BUT not nearly the amount of black as my C8 Natural Dipped! The light interior starts about a foot from the windshield in the C8! Heck the flat section of the dash is half BLACK!
The only glare that is an minor issue is around the HUD display. You see though it like most glare. In fact it is a halo around the HUD display, which is mostly what I use NOT the dash! The HUD itself in the center has zero glare. The other light colored dash areas show high on the windshield and are only a modest issue if you're watching birds or looking for a "Bear in the Air!"
Now if any glare bothers you even a black dash in not immune! Recall before I installed a mirror tape for my radar detector it was plugged into the power receptacle on the passenger side and mounted low on the windshield. It was on the black dash, There was reflection in the windshield, clear as day on the black dash! If you can't tolerate any glare then get a car with a more vertical windshield. Suggest anyone that want's Natural Dipped interior might want to drive one BUT it's fine for me. "Like that halo around HUD!"
PS: I use progressive, transition glasses that are not politized. In fact since I don't need much correction for distance tried without glasses and it was no different. I also have a pair of clip-on polarized lenses for night driving to reduce oncoming car light glare BUT they also had no effect in daytime driving!
Found this pic on the net of glare with black dash. My 2LT 2017 Grand Sport with an all black dash had glare depending on the sun angle.

Just watched a Guy Fieri show Diner's Drive-ins and Dives from Italy. He drove away in a Red Ferrari with Tan interior including the whole dash! Not the car Guy was driving but the dash was all tan!
That would drive me crazy.
I do love the look of natural with torch red. I was leaning that way before I went Artic white with Adrenaline red on my c8 HTC.
It came in yesterday and I hope to pick up tomorrow from dealership.
Been long wait.

I've gotten used to what glare there is, and for the most part "Tuned it Out".
I've now started driving without glasses to see if I can Tune out the Glare, (see thru it without noticing it). an I'm beginning to not notice the glare, unless I think about it,
I've yet to see how bad the glare is, "Driving directly into Setting Sun", an how well the B&H Blue Lens can do to tame it.
I'm lucky I don't have to wear glasses, except to read, an that seem to have taken a turn for the better also,
Anyway, I can live with it.
Now I feel for passenger as Dash glare is worst on passenger's side.
There is a good possibility "High End" polarized glasses can tame it more, without muting HUD's image on windshield as much as B&H's do..

Windshields cut most of the UV light so they won't darken much when driving. Hopefully they will reduce the reflection but still allow most of the HUD brightness.

I bought an inexpensive pair of polarized clip-ons with a yellow tint. Didn't effect HUD but no effect on glare! Thought might be helpful with oncoming car lights at night but have not tried.
I've got a Dash Mat in ALL my vehicles (5) - only one that didn't kill me with glare was my 2003 Ford Ranger since the dash on it is angled in the opposite direction of all my others - the Ranger dash slopes TOWARD the windshield - not flat or sloping away from the windshield.
Iff'n you ever go the Dash Mat route AND getting rid of glare is your highest priority, you'll have to get the cheapest Poly Carpet model.
Any of the more luxurious materials (even black) are still going to reflect off the dash (this was verified by the manufacturer).
I got a number of samples and tried various colors / materials - the ONLY one that cuts out ALL the reflection is the Poly Carpet model.
Funny, after reading how Polarized Glasses help reduce glare I bought a pair of clip-on to fit my frameless Transition/Progressive with antiglare/scratch resistant Crizal coating. Not sure why BUT bought yellow. Hardly did anything. Most of the glare issue where you look, straight ahead, was around the HUD display where there is a halo. After 7 weeks getting used to it but then thought, like a camera color filter, the color will make a difference.
Just got the same clip-on (that comes in 5 colors) in a rose/brown color (pic below.) Hard to believe it almost eliminated the halo! Put the car at an angle to the sun where the halo was very visible without the clip-ons. It almost went away completely with them! The car was stopped so the same sun angle!
The HUD numbers changed color from white to a light blue but were very visible. I have the brightness set high. Looks like a great solution for ~$13! Pics taken from Amazon.
