Buyer is willing to pay a premium for the car but can't spring for an enclosed trailer. Gotta love it.

I wanted to reply to your last thread on the subject, but it got closed rather quickly...

Overall your prior thread was an odd review, non review, but it sounds like a personal decision that had little to do with GM or the C8. You managed to say good bye (bye!) and share no in depth insight on your decision making.

Tryin to “replace” a GT4 with a Stingray was probably doomed from the beginning.

Wow! You gave it a whole TWO MONTHS, 1000 miles and exactly one track day? Geez, you barely gave it a chance. Aren’t the first 500 miles rev limited?

These were all published facts especially the lack of a MT (Not going to spell it out for fear of a shutdown). You knew what you we’re getting, so I’m not sure how those were your “main reasons” since those details were well known long before you took delivery.

Did you have any issues? Or are you just assuming? I’ve owned 9 Corvettes and had small and large issues over time, and I’m satisfied with how they were resolved. Again, this sounds like a you problem, not a GM / C8 problem.

Hey, it’s your car...or it was. Drive what makes you happy, but your whole post comes off like you are trying to suggest the car came up short. In reality I think you got caught up in the C8 hype, and decided to give it a whirl but I think you had no intentions of keeping it the day you took delivery. Next time, I wish you’d offer some constructive feedback rather coming off like someone looking down on a car you never really gave a chance.

im not suggesting theres any thing negative about the car and im not looking down on it . i had to make a decision,. my M2C is a better driver and practical and the GT4 is a better track car in my opinion. i just didnt have a reason to keep it, as i said it was a fun car. i really wish this forum wasnt so defensive because theres a lot of good info thats shared. . the nasty posts because of a difference of opinion are disappointing.

I'd say overall, you won. You experienced what many will not have a chance to. You got to know the car well enough to make a decision whether to keep it or let it go and probably make a handsome profit. It sounds like you already have a car that's a hoot. How many does one need?

The new Z06 should be a more raw experience & the better overall sports car as the C8 Z51 feels more GT like. I sold my C8 after 36 days of ownership, took the $$$ could not resist. I should be one of the first in Texas to get a C8 Z06 since I am number 1 in line and been waiting for over 2 years.

The new C8 Z51 is a great car and a giant leap forward in many ways but to me it’s missing some rawness, so I sold it with 1067 miles. I was offered over 6 figures for the car and made a great profit to pay for my new C8 Z06. I felt GM sided a little more on refinement & know with my taste the new C8 Z06 will be the better fit for me.

Relax Francis. Nothing defensive at all, other than maybe your reply. You put it out there, so don’t be so thin skinned. My point was, you previously went to the effort of giving a review of sorts with nothing about nothing instead of just saying you changed your mind. It happens. And with that stable, it had big shoes to fill.
